Real World Automation & Controls Experience
ARM Tennessee provides a means by which Tennessee-based manufacturing companies may source qualified employees trained specifically to administer and maintain the product sets and equipment utilized on the company's plant floor.
Who?
The mission of ARM Tennessee is to offer hope and a future through level-up programs, as well as provide Tennessee-based manufacturers a local source for talent and equipment.
ARM TN offers workforce development programs for veterans and disabled veterans, as well as co-op programs for senior level two and four-year engineering students.
"Everything I did basically came from knowledge gained at elliTek." ~Jacob Melton
Jacob interned at elliTek and graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville this year. During Jacob's time at elliTek, he learned PLC and HMI programming, subpanel assembly and wiring, and the use of various sensors.
For Jacob's Senior Design Project at the Tickle College of Engineering Showcase, he and his team won a Prototype Excellence Award and best poster from the Nuclear Engineering Department. Congratulations to Jacob & his team!
Jacob and his team developed a "Rapid Autonomous Pneumatic Transport System" sponsored by the Electronic Power Research Institute. They designed an air-driven sample transport system that can deliver material samples into the fast neutron source, transfer them to the neutron flux counter for analysis, and then dispose of them autonomously.
Check out the video below to see this transport system in action.
Brandon Ellis, the owner of elliTek, had a vision of ARM Tennessee. Although many systems integrators experience first-hand the need for highly trained and qualified individuals to administer and maintain plant floor equipment and product sets, Brandon's love for teaching and his calling led him to found ARM Tennessee.
Where?
elliTek University is located in the heart of Halls Crossroads. The state-of-the-art facility was once home to Regal Cinemas Corporate Headquarters. Halls Greenway is a stone's throw away from the training center.
When?
ARM Tennessee classes will begin soon.
ARM Tennessee is a program offered by elliTek University.
